Julie Mendez - AWANA Co-Commander
Julie Mendez was born in Crossville Tennessee. She moved to Washington in 1976. She is a twin and the youngest of five by five minutes. Julie was saved and baptized at the age of 13 at a church revival. She and her husband Ben have been going to FBC of RH for more than 10 years and have been involved in the Awana program since it began in 2000. Initially Julie started out just watching and getting in the way - 'not willing to leave her two sons.' Awana has been a huge part of Julie's children's spiritual growth. As well as being a lot of fun for the whole family. In her opinion, last year was the best year yet with the addition of Eastside Baptist Church and Pastor Fore.Vicky Miller - AWANA Co-Commander

Vicky was saved at the age of 26 via a door knocking visit from the Pastor at Eastside Baptist Church. Since joining the church Vicky has been continually active in church ministries such as: Nursery Director, Sunday school teacher, AWANA Commander and VBS teacher. She is the proud mother of two young boys and has been married for over 10 years.
